Farmington Preservation & Improvement is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Our mission is:

"Through this initiative, we will unite and build community improvements, promote awareness of town history and preserve traditions and hometown pride".

 

FPIO consists of an Executive Board and many volunteers. Our Executive Board is:

FPIO  provides the continuing tradition of hanging Christmas lights over the town during the Christmas season. We maintain and continue to update the Town of Farmington's Christmas light system so there is no cost to the taxpayers. Over the past several years we have converted the old style bulbs with LED bulbs to provide more durability to the bulbs and provide energy savings to the town. We also make use of the poles year round by hanging seasonal banners to brighten the downtown and the front of our local businesses and organizations.
